This Friday, box-office witnessed a clash of two films, Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan . Both the movies created buzz and had their share of publicity done. Citing to Ajay Devgn , Emraan Hashmi , and other stars’ huge fan base, it was natural that Baadshaho garnered more attention than the latter. However, both the films have received rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The films have managed to fare well at the box-office, here’s a detailed report.
Baadshaho witnessed an amazing first weekend. The film made Rs. 12.60 crores on its opening day, Rs. 15.60 crores on Saturday and further remained consistent on Sunday with Rs. 15.10 crores. Hence, the total three-day collection stands at Rs. 43.30 crores which is a good sum. The movie is expected to surpass 50 crores on its first Monday. Along with Ajay and Emraan, it stars Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta, Sanjay Mishra and Vidyut Jamwal in key roles.
On the other hand, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan , which started small witnessed an upward trend that is expected to stay. The film made Rs. 2.71 crores on Friday, Rs. 5.56 crores on Saturday and Rs. 6.19 crores on Sunday. Hence, the total collection of the first weekend stands at Rs. 14.46 crores at the domestic markets. It features Ayushman Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.
