Day 9 collections of ‘Padmaavat’ are out and it’s about to surpass the lifetime business of ‘Bajirao Mastani’!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ collected 11 crores on its second Thursday and the grand total has reached to Rs. 166.50 crores.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s magnum opus, ‘ Padmaavat ’, is gradually moving towards the 200 crores club. Made on a lavish budget, the movie managed to get a solo release on 25th January and doing a brilliant business all over. The film has entered in its week 2 but the collections are impeccably strong. Till Wednesday, the film earned Rs. 155.50 crores and yesterday’s collection took it closer to the lifetime business of ‘ Bajirao Mastani ’. On its second Thursday, the Deepika Padukone , Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer pocketed 11 crores and took the grand total to Rs. 166.50 crores. Till date, Bhansali’s highest grosser is ‘ Bajirao Mastani ’, which in its lifetime run, managed to earn Rs. 184 crores, but looking at the ‘ Padmaavat ’s performance, we can assure that it will surpass BM in the next two days.
Though the movie is not released in Middle-East and China, it has raked in around Rs. 90 crores from rest of the world. It has done record breaking business in all the English speaking countries and is still running successfully.
As we know the movie is banned in 4 major states of India, it has lost more than 50 crores. Worldwide, the movie is standing strong with Rs. 248.27 crores.
