Ek Haseena Thi EK Deewana Tha falls flat at the BO!
Suneel Darshan's directorial comeback Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha, starring Upen Patel, Shiv Darshan, and Natasha Fernandez, perform poorly on day one.
Suneel Darshan's directorial comeback Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha, which entered cinemas yesterday, fell flat at the box office. The film did not find any takers and hence earned collections nothing to write home about. The movie, which featured Upen Patel, Shiv Darshan, and Natasha Fernandez in lead roles, opened across a very limited number of screens, even then most of theaters witnessed vacuity during shows. It seems that negative reviews dealt a severe blow to the film.
It was expected that the film would make the most of Tubelight's lukewarm performance at the ticket window, but nothing of that sort happened. Despite good music, picturesque locations and direction of a filmmaker like Suneel Darshan, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha just could not draw audience to theaters, simply because there was no story in the film. Average performances and bland direction made the matter even worst. Almost all critics delivered lowest possible ratings to the film and the writing on the wall was clear from the day one that the film was meant to doom at the box office. Seeing the poor performance of the film, it should not come as a surprise if it is discontinued from theaters right after the weekend.
