First day box-office collection of 'Action Jackson'

Much-hyped and one of the costliest film of the year, ' Action Jackson ' marked its release yesterday in the cinema halls. However, it failed to appeal the critics. Let's check out, how well it has performed in front of the mass.
Produced with a mega budget, ' Action Jackson ' was released in over 3600 screens all over India on a non-holiday Friday. Considering its actors, director and production house, the film has performed averagely with the collection of Rupees 9.25 Cr nett on day 1. It was expected to do good business in the small screens for masala entertaining chemistry of Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha , while it could have also attracted multiplex audience for its superficially crafted action sequences.
Directed by Prabhu Deva , ' Action Jackson ' now needs a miracle to overcome its budgetary cost.
