' Ghanchakkar ' released on June 28 was stuffed with star-power and peppy music, however the dreary content failed to entice the viewers. There was again a wonderful pairing up of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan , the duo that rocked in earlier super hit flick ' The Dirty Picture '. As the movie was devoid of the real entertainment element, the hit pair of actors and heavy promotions could not work wonders at the box office over the weekend.
The directorial venture of Rajkumar Gupta - ' Ghanchakkar ' collected 7.20 crore nett on Friday, while 7.30 crore nett was the figure incurred by the film on Saturday. Going by its early estimates, the movie was anticipated to garner around 8.20 to 8.40 crore nett on Sunday. If the anticipations would have turned into reality, the total weekend collection of ' Ghanchakkar ', would be around 22.75 crore nett.
