First Weekend Box Office Collection of 'The Lunchbox'

Ritesh Batra 's dream venture ' The Lunchbox ', appreciated all around the world at several film festivals, was expected to create a boom as soon as it steps in to serve the audiences back home. Despite all ga-ga on the global platform, the strong star cast including Irrfan Khan , Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nimrat Kaur , the film received a lukewarm response on the opening day itself.

Neck to neck competition with the mass entertainer ' Phata Poster Nikhla Hero ' starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'cruz is considered solely liable to grab a huge share that was anticipated to mock its screens. As soon as ' The Lunchbox ' served at the ticket windows, it was queued by the crowd but, a limited one, which contributed a share of approximately 1.25 crores on the inaugural.
