Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium remain steady at the domestic box-office front!

Last week’s releases Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend and Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium have their fair share at the box-office. Both the movies have shown good progress and remained steady at the box-office front. Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor ’s romantic drama received average reviews from the critics while Irrfan Khan starrer has garnered rave reviews from one and all, hence has a positive word of mouth.
Half Girlfriend raked in Rs. 10.27 crores on Friday, Rs. 10.63 crores on Saturday, Rs. 11.14 crores on Sunday. It further made Rs. 5.11 crores on Monday and Rs. 4.46 crores on Tuesday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 41.61 crores.
Hindi Medium started small, it earned Rs. 2.08 crores on Friday, Rs. 4.25 crores Saturday, and Rs. 5.50 crores on Sunday. It further raked in Rs. 3.15 crores on Monday and Rs. 3.30 crores on Tuesday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 19.01 crores.
Half Girlfriend is performing well despite not very positive word of mouth owing to Chetan’s Bhagat’s popular novel that already has a fan following. Also, the songs have been a hit. Hindi Medium , on the other hand, narrates a satirical tale and is backed by positive reviews. Considering the buzz, Mohit Suri’s film will soon cross 50 crores while Saket Chaudhary’s directorial will touch 25 crore mark in the coming week days!
