Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani 2 released on December 2 and the original film Kahaani (2012) was a blockbuster. The sequel performed decent in week one but in its second week, the movie witnessed major drop in its collection.
After raking in Rs. 75 lacs on second Friday, Kahaani 2 garnered Rs. 1.60 crore on second Saturday followed by Rs. 1.80 crore on Sunday. On Monday, the film witnessed Rs. 75 lacs and the Tuesday collection of the flick was Rs. 50 lacs. On Wednesday, it managed to mint Rs. 45 lacs and Thursday saw the outing collecting Rs. 45 lacs, thereby making the total box-office collection of the film up to Rs. 30.56 crore at the domestic front.
Kahaani 2 revolves around Durga Rani Singh, who has dual personality as Vidya Sinha having a mysterious side.
