Raid passes the crucial Monday test and took the collections to Rs. 47.27 crores!

While the initial months of the year are considered as a dull period from the income generating perspective, Ajay Devgn ’s Raid is breaking all the stereotypes and doing a massive business at the box office. Released last Friday, the film earned more than 40 crores in the first weekend, but did it survived the crucial Monday test? It surely did and with utmost ease. Where the collections of usual films fall drastically on Mondays, Raid remained super steady on the weekday and minted healthy figure on day 4. With no interference from other films, Ajay Devgn ’s Raid managed to earn Rs. 6.26 crores on its first Monday and took the grand total to Rs. 47.27 crores.

Starring Ajay Devgn , Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz , the film is doing well even in the international markets. Though the film is not much relevant to the foreign crowd, it still has managed to cross the million dollar mark in the first 3 days. After the first weekend, Raid made $ 1.8 million, i.e. Rs. 11.74 crores from outside India.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar ’s T-Series, the film is made on a budget of 70 crores and in just 4 days, the Rajkumar Gupta ’s directorial has managed to earn more than Rs. 65 crores worldwide and soon it will get the tag of ‘hit’.
