Salman Khan’s Tubelight crosses 60 crores in 3 days, all eyes on today!

Superstar Salman Khan is known to release his big films during the auspicious festival of Eid and has seen glorious success in the past. Walking on the similar lines, Salman released Tubelight during the Eid extended weekend. The film marks Salman’s third film collaboration with filmmaker Kabir Khan . However, Tubelight has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as audience, Bhaijaan fans like celebrating Eid with Salman’s film.

Tubelight collected Rs. 21.15 crores on Friday, Rs. 21.17 crores on Saturday and Rs. 22.45 crores on Sunday, making the total first weekend collection stand at Rs. 64.77 crores. These numbers although are good but not very striking considering the buzz it had and also citing all other Salman’s past releases. Tubelight seems to be the lowest in the first weekend collection track. Trade experts are predicting to bring in good numbers on first Monday i.e. today as the festive biz. The film does not carry a strong positive word of mouth to its support. So, it will be interesting to witness today's collection, which will impact the total collections in a big way. The film also stars Sohail Khan , Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and late Om Puri. It is a period based heart-warming story of unconditional brotherly love, set at the backdrop of Indo-China war.
