And DCEU closed the deal with director Patty Jenkins to direct Wonder Woman 2!

Though it is not such a deal breaker thing in the process of film making but most of the time, director-actor chemistry also works wonders, especially when it makes a sequel to a phenomenally successful film. It is happy news for Hollywood movie goers and especially for those who are mesmerized with the Wonder Woman, as the sequel is in order and director of the prequel Patty Jenkins, will also be directing the sequel!

In July, it was confirmed by the Warner Bros. about its sequel in the process, BollywoodMDB also informed about Gal Gadot reprising her role as Amazonian princess. But there was a suspense to whether Patty Jenkins will be directing the sequel or not! And as a replacement, the producers also brought Michelle McLaren aboard, who has previously directed TV episodes of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and also 4 episode of Game of Thrones, but eventually left the project due to the creative difference!

Finally, after prolonged discussions, meetings, and negotiations, Patty Jenkins bagged the deal and instantly became the highest-paid female filmmaker in the Hollywood history. Obviously, no one disclosed the deal tag but it is estimated to be around $7 million to $9 million! The release and followed success of Wonder Woman also set many records for the film, as it is first in the modern time that a superhero movie that has a female protagonist and also attains massive success as well as critical praises. And about Jenkins, she was the first female director to helm a superhero movie and she eventually nailed the opportunity and put DCEU back on the pack and maintained audiences' trust!

We hope the producers didn’t mind paying such high fees to a director! And the proposed date for the film release is 13th December 2019. Though it is quite a long time to wait meanwhile you can also watch Wonder Woman joining the Justice League, which will be releasing on 17th November this year.
