Actor Rishikesh Ingley, who is currently part of the show Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, talks about what the show means to him, how he bagged it and who he looks up to in the industry.
Q. What does your name mean? What is the story behind such a unique name?
A. It's one of the names of Lord Vishnu and also a famous and beautiful holy destination in India, which I really want to visit. However, my mother came across this name while reading a novel and liked it.
Q. How did you get your first break in the TV show Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki?
A. I had got to know about the show and gave an audition. This is how I bagged the role and I am thrilled to be part of the show.
Q. This is your TV debut. Did you take any formal training in acting?
Not at all! I did not take any training in acting but I do take suggestions from Supriya Kumari, whenever I am in doubt.
Q. What are your character details?
A. My role of Balwinder has many shades. He is smart, cunning, crafty, sly, dishonest and vengeful. I just love playing this character.
Q. How much can you relate to your character?
A. Well, this character is totally opposite to what I am in real life and that's why I like playing it.
Q. How does it feel to be a part of a hit show?
A. It's absolutely great being part of a hit show as it gives me the chance to interact with great co-actors and there's so much positivity on the set.
Q. What are your hobbies other than acting?
A. Other than acting, I like traveling and trying out new cuisines. I am also a fitness freak.
Q. Who are your favorite Bollywood actors and what do you like about them?
A. There are many actors I like from Bollywood but my favorite is Shah Rukh Khan and Irfan Khan as they can play any character with ease.
Q. What are the essentials to become an actor?
A. According to me, the essentials to becoming a successful actor are dedication, focus, and honesty.
Q. What you have to say about the unique content of your show?
A. The show something which is considered a taboo in our society. We have never witnessed such a concept in any show on television. It is such as brave step by the makers.
Q. Two things no one knows about you?
I am very good at learning new languages and I am good in public/client relationships.
Q. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
A. I prefer living in the present and I don't worry about the future.
