Sunny Leone

Q. What attracted you towards the film, Tera Intezaar?

A. When the director narrated the story to me and my character that is what attracted me to the story from the beginning. I was playing the central character in it and then I got to know that Arbaaz Khan was also going to be there in the film. There were so many amazing things for me to do the film. I want to work with people that are fun to work with.

Q. How was it to work with Arbaaz Khan?

A. It was an amazing experience. We had not met before, so we really did not know each other well before starting the film. But once we started shooting, we got along really well. We enjoyed each other’s company, cracked joke and understood each other’s sarcasm well, which was really nice.

Q. Are you expert in Hindi now?

A. Expert, I don’t know. But I try to speak in Hindi as much as possible.

Q. How has life changed after motherhood?

It has changed completely. I am so excited every single day when I get up feeding her, training her and taking care of her. I know there are some parents that like somebody to do all that, which is completely fine because, you know, everybody has their own system. But Daniel and I had been wanting this for so many years, so we are ready for all this. Every single day is a joy.

Q. Your director Raajeev Walia recently said that Sunny has given her best performance in Tera Intezaar. So, what different are you bringing to the table this time?

A. I don’t know if I am bringing something different, but I followed my director’s vision. I want to believe that I am a good listener and I hope that I was able to give him the shot that he wanted. He knew exactly what he wanted and needed for his film.

Q. Do you think you have evolved as an actress from your first film till now?

A. Yeah! That I believe. How much in each film is something everybody has their own opinion about. But I love learning. I learn something every single day whether it is great or not so great. It may be something about myself; something about production; something about Bollywood or people.

I think Arbaaz brings a lot about the industry. I was asking so many questions all the time and he would give me great advice and I took a couple of things which he suggested me.

Q. In commercial movies like Raees and Baadshaho, we saw you in special numbers with Shah Rukh Khan and Emraan Hashmi respectively. When do we get to see you as a heroine opposite a superstar?

A. I don’t know. Can you ask them that question? I am available.

Q. Aamir Khan had said in 2016 that he would like to work with him. What happened next?

A. We stay in touch, just like friends you can say. I don’t want to put pressure on people that I know. I think that is a weird thing to do. I am not like that. I am happy in my own space. I am working a lot. I feel I am very blessed. If working with Aamir happens in life, it would be amazing.

Q. Any particular genre that you want to work on?

A. I always love action; I love horror; I love psychological thriller and I love comedy also. There are some actresses who don’t want to do a certain type of roles. I want to do all types of roles if I get a chance.
