After Beyond The Cloud, director Majid Majidi's next is titled Gold Mine!

About Iranian director Majid Majidi , it was quite surprising to see how a foreigner filmmaker, who is very celebrated for his craftsmanship through his films like The Color of Paradise and Muhammad: The Messenger of God, is so invested in Indian tales and story! As his maiden project Beyond The Clouds is all geared up to the premiere in London! The enthusiast filmmaker is already planning for his second film which will have a heart and soul of India!

While in conversation, Majidi revealed, “I have always believed that India has so many stories to tell within its myriad cultures of people from a different milieu. The ambiance of India is just magical, truly incomparable to any other country. Within that ambiance, exists a wonderful relationship between human beings and nature. The undying spirit of people and their hope for life despite their hardships is unbelievable. That’s what really inspired me to shoot my next film in India once again and thereby be the narrator of this effort of men, women, and children whose love for life encourages them to stay strong and rise above any hurdles that come in their path. I’m glad that I’m once again going to collaborate with Shareen and Kishor at Namah Pictures who are a good team and very professional in their approach.”

And the title for the next film is Gold Mine, and the basic sketch of the story is developed during Mr. Majidi's frequent visits to North of India. It would be interesting see who would be the cast of the film and what new this charismatic director Majid Majidi has to offer to the hardcore Bollywood fan!
