Aishwarya Rai chooses Devdas for Cannes screening!

Actress Aishwarya Rai has chosen her 2002 film Devdas for the screening at prestigious L’Oreal Paris Open Air Cinema Event at Cannes.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped first time at the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival with her cult film Devdas . It was way back in 2002 and now the actress is back to relive those nostalgic days by screening Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas once again at an outdoor cinema event at Cannes.

This outdoor cinema event will screen films, particularly selected by the six actress brand ambassador of L’Oreal. They will be introducing the film in-person. This gala will be commenced from May 17 to May 22. Therefore, Aishwarya has chosen Devdas out of her other phenomenal films. It will be screened on May 20 at Cannes.

Devdas is a 2002 blockbuster film that also stars superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene.

Talking about her earlier film screening experience, Aishwarya said, “We attended the festival not just as artists but as proud representatives of Indian cinema, showcasing a film that meant so much to us. The kind of reception we got for the movie was truly overwhelming and I will cherish it all my life.”

Other Bollywood actresses to walk Cannes Red Carpet this year, are Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. The Cannes Film Festival is scheduled from May 17 to May 28.
