Alia Bhatt will be a spy in 1971’ Indo-Pak war spy espionage, directed Meghna Gulzar!

Fans of Alia Bhatt were already excited to hear the news that the young actress is all geared up to deliver yet another stellar performance oriented role in Meghna Gulzar ’s upcoming film. And to top the excitement, she’ll be playing a role of a spy, which completely changes the dynamics and perspective we all had about her role. The pendulum completely swayed from sweet but underdog Kashmiri wife to strong, stern, ‘girl with a plan’ character, which further profound the speculation that the plotline would be women-centric!

There have been many Bollywood films made on Indo-Pak war of 1971, but despite this yet untitled film based on an espionage thriller novel by Harinder S. Sikka named, ‘Calling Sehmat,’ it might feature some action scenes but not specific war, specifically to the narrate story about the facts that led this war to happen between India and Pakistan. It is a wise decision, as such suspense created and anticipation of plot twist makes spy genre movies above the other crime genre cinema. Besides Alia Bhatt , Vicky Kaushal will also be essaying the character of Alia’s husband and ace Pakistani army officer, who is supposed to turn rogue, which bound to make the potential for plot twists.
