Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has wrapped up her upcoming film Gully Boy, featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The director took to Twitter to share a picture of a bouquet with a sweet message while bidding adieu to her film’s leading lady, Alia Bhatt. "Thank you Lulu. What a privilege and pleasure to direct you. Stay delightful. Stay genius. Stay you. Can't wait to do this again.; #gullyboy,” read her tweet.

Alia Bhatt, who is collaborating with Zoya Akhtar and Excel Entertainment for the first time, also took to her social media account announcing the film's wrap. She posted a mirror picture of her wearing a black T-shirt with Gully Boy written towards the back.

Alia also posted a note which says, “And it’s a film wrap for me on Gully Boy!!! Going to miss this set too much. The best best crew and the best people! Love you all …miss you already my zozo and tutu @zoieakhtar @ranveersingh!!”

Ranveer Singh also took to Instagram sharing Alia's picture captioning, " ????????‍?? #gullygirl".

Alia who calls Ranveer tutu also replies saying, "Haha tutu I'm so touched with the special post Description: ????Description: ????Description: ????".

Gully Boy is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer Singh, who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen, is playing the role of a street rapper. The film is Ranveer's second collaboration with Zoya after Dil Dhadkne Do. It also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, Gully Boy is scheduled to release on 14th February 2019.
