Anurag Basu to make Indian version of 'Prison Break'

Veteran director Anurag Basu reportedly has acquired the rights of the famous US TV show \'Prison Break\' to remake it for the Indian television and audience.

As per the reports say, veteran director Anurag Basu is all set to follow the footsteps of the famous actor Anil Kapoor . It is known fact that currently Anil Kapoor is busy in making an Indian version of the well known US thriller '24'. And now Anurag too has acquired the rights of a foreign TV series to remake it for Indian Television.

According to the source, Anurag has got the official rights of the hit and famous TV show from US 'Prison Break'. Anurag will don the hat of the co-producer as well as the creative director for the Indian version of this show.

The show 'Prison Break' showcases the story of two brothers out of which one has been sentenced to death by the court for the crime which he did not commit. The other sibling comes out with an elaborate plan to help his brother in escaping out of the jail. Besides this , Anurag is currently busy in making 'Jagga Jasoos' along with Ranbir Kapoor and a biopic on Kishore Kumar 's life.
