October 1 saw the opening ceremony of Hero Indian Super League 2016 taking place at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. Many sports persons and Bollywood stars shined at this glitzy event. The celebs like Alia Bhatt , Varun Dhawan , Jacqueline Fernandez along with almost 500 performers grabbed attention by shaking a leg on famous Hindi dance numbers.
ISL Founder and chairperson Nita Ambani and NorthEast United owner John Abraham arrived in Guwahati on Friday for the much-awaited event. Kerala Blasters FC co-owner Sachin Tendulkar, Mumbai City FC co-owner Ranbir Kapoor and Chennaiyin FC co-owner Mahendra Singh Dhoni reached the venue on Saturday, reportedly. The event had a major attraction this year and she was Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu.
