It is definitely turning out to be a good trend so far that actresses are coming forward and producing films, and those films which are filled with quality content. After Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma now critically acclaimed actress Chitrangada Singh is all set to produce a biopic film based on life of hockey player Sandeep Singh and she acquired the rights to make biopic and Panjabi super-star Diljit Dosanjh , who made an impressive debut in last year’s Udta Panjab, will be essaying the title character! And if grapevines are to be believed then Shaad Ali might be directing this film!
For those who don’t know about Sandeep Singh, he was the former captain of the Indian hockey team and despite his major injury in 2006, which made him get out of the team, he returned with equal vigor and zest with India becoming one of the top contenders in the later years. Although Sandeep hasn’t confirmed about the film but he is excited about such efforts.
It is also being said that Chitrangada bought the rights to make such film but couldn’t move ahead with the filmmaking due to other commitments. But now things are moving forward and the film is expected to release in the month of November or December.
