BollywoodMDB recently informed our readers about the shooting schedule of Akshay Kumar starrer sports film Gold . And now, co-producer Farhan Akhtar gave an official confirmation about the same. Farhan informed about the beginning of the shooting schedule on social media. He wrote: “All the best team Gold. #firstdayofshoot” while tagging all the cast and crew.
Actors Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh among others have been training with multiple hockey coaches and they also got a special training schedule with former Indian captain, Sandeep Singh. Akshay Kumar who has been in news for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha promotions will join them soon. According to the reports, the makers are hosting auditions for the actors who will essay international player from the rival teams.
The film Gold is directed by Reema Kagti, it said to be a fictional take on series of events happened during 1948 Olympics. The makers will showcase the crucial journey of 12 years in the Indian sport's history. It revolves around the theme of India winning its 1st Gold medal in hockey as a free nation in 1948 Olympics. This sports drama is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, it is set to hit the silver screens on August 15, 2018.
