Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Captain Nawab’ begins rolling from today!
Emraan Hashmi begins shooting for his much-awaited film ‘Captain Nawab’ from today onwards.

Emraan Hashmi revealed the poster of his much-awaited ‘ Captain Nawab ’ months ago and since then the fans have been eagerly waiting for the film. The actor, who will be seen as an army officer in the film, begins shooting for the same from today. Made under the banner of Emraan Hashmi Films, the movie will be helmed by Tony D’Souza . Emraan took to Twitter to confirm the commencement of the film. His tweet read, "And it begins!! .. #CaptainNawabShootbegins."
Though Captain Nawab is inspired by a real event, the makers have fictionalized the event to make it more engaging. Talking about the film, Emraan had earlier said that the premise of the film was sourced out from true happenings in the country; there is some element of fiction added. But it doesn't go into the masala zone.
Emraan, who will be seen playing the role of an army officer for the very first time, is nervous about the role. When asked about his character, the 38-year-old said, "I am nervous before playing any character. For me, that is what drives me. The day I become cocky about a character or a film, I think I will fail miserably. It is very important for me to have that positive nervous feeling that I need to rise up and do my best."
