First trailer of Mumbai Mist, starring Annu Kapoor and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar

It is not so often happens that a well celebrated mainstream filmmaker to take a day off from his realm and do something, just for the sake of content. Recently Madhur Bhandarkar was in the news for his first short film, Mumbai Mist, to be present in BRICS Film Festival in China. And every avid Bollywood cine-goer was curious to know how Madhur’ venture into indie cinema is. So to sooth the genuine hype, Bhandarkar Entertainment finally unveiled the trailer for the short film, Mumbai Mist! And as per its first impression, it is heart-warming!

Mumbai Mist is about an old man living his post-retirement life in chaos with a hint of loneliness. And struggling while silently dealing with it, he makes a new friend, way different than him, living in the different world. They meet, they hang out and their friendship grew with the time, barring the age differences. It is an ‘all good-hearted happy story’, until his friend went missing, without leaving any trace or clue. Both lead of this short film, Annu Kapoor and Master Devrath, look splendid in their character and the overall story looks promised to be a tear jerker.

The music for this short movie is given by Amar Mohile, which also includes a classic Bollywood song Awara Hoon in the background, even in the trailer. Although it is not yet confirmed from Bhandarkar Entertainment, when and where this film will be showcased and be up to entertaining regular cine-goers, but it would be interesting to see Madhur Bhandarkar ’ new venture in Short films.
