Hansal Mehta is excited about the trailer, reveals new poster of Simran!

National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for yet another interesting film of her career. The versatile actress will be next seen in Hansal Mehta ’s Simran where she plays a 30-year-old Gujarati girl who is a house keeper. The teaser of the film was widely appreciated and gave glimpses about her character Praful Patel. As per the early reports, the movie is about this ambitious girl's life story and the way she gets addicted to the world of crime. Check out the new poster here:

In a recent interaction with a leading daily, director Hansal Mehta opened up about his upcoming film like never before. He said, “It’s a character driven film with a unique story and an equally unique character. Praful is someone that you will immediately identify with. What you will see is the result of that intense collaboration. Kangana is a very close collaborator and gets involved in different aspects of the film, and I really welcome that. Everyone who has seen the trailer has really enjoyed it.”

“I am excited. Praful’s journey into people’s homes will start with the trailer. Simran is about Praful Patel, a 30-year-old divorcee who lives in the US. The film takes her on a very unpredictable journey, but she never let’s go of hope. She has aspirations, but also has an indefatigable spirit.” added the filmmaker.

Actor Sohum Shah plays Kangana’s love interest in the film. The script is penned by Apurva Asrani and is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh. Simran is Hansal Mehta ’s glorious project which is set to hit the silver screens on September 15! The trailer will be out today at 5.30 pm IST!
