Not to worry pals, we have got our own desi superhero, Akshay Kumar . Akshay, who will be seen portraying the role of Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham in ‘ Padman ’, has brought to us the new poster of the film. A few minutes back, the actor uploaded the new poster on Twitter, captioning, “Super hero hai yeh pagla, aa raha hai 26th January, 2018 ko : #PadMan!”. The film is based on the life of Arunachalam, who found a way to make affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.
Slated to release on this Republic Day, the movie is helmed by noted director, R Balki . ‘ Padman ’ also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte , alongside Akshay Kumar . Sonam too uploaded the same pic, with a caption reading, “Such a pleasure working with the indomitable Akshay Kumar . He was the perfect person to play the role of Padman and has brought a sense of humour and love to the film.”
While most of the A-List celebrities are busy doing the commercial movies, we feel Akshay has taken one for all, as he’s coming with movies based on social issues, one after another. Apart from this, Akshay will be next seen in country’s costliest film, ‘ 2.0 ’ opposite megastar, Rajinikanth .
