It is a known fact that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif ’s upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012). The prequel film explored the romantic relationship of Tiger who is Indian RAW agent and Zoya who is a Pakistani spy. But after the recent URI attack on Indian soldiers by Pakistani armed men, there has been a unanimous decision to ban Pakistani artistes from working in any Indian Films.

Here’s what CBFC wants the makers to change in Tiger Zinda Hai!
Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif

In the film, Katrina’s nationality is Pakistani which is an issue of concern to the CBFC. Prior to this, Karan Johar 's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had to undergo changes in their script. Originally, Anushka Sharma's character in the film was a Pakistani, but after the ban, the makers changed it and portrayed her as an Indian Muslim from Lucknow. Now, in this context, CBFC wants Katrina Kaif ’s nationality to be changed. However, the director has assured that the focus is not on the love story but for a bigger cause. The film is more action-oriented and has a social message.

If Tiger Zinda Hai makers have to change the narrative as per CBFC guidelines then the film may lose its crux and subtle difference will incur. It will be interesting to know Salman and Katrina’s take on the issue. Presented by Yash Raj Films, the action-drama is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar . It has been scheduled to release on December 22, 2017.
