When the teaser of ‘ Fukrey Returns ’ was launched, it was stated that the movie will hit the big screen on 8th December 2017. But soon after ‘ Padmavati ’ trailer launch, the makers of ‘ Fukrey Returns ’ pushed their movie a week ahead i.e. on 15th December. Until this morning, 15th was the final date of FR. But due to the controversies around ‘ Padmavati ’, its filmmakers shifted the release of the film to some future date, to which the ‘ Fukrey Returns ’ makers rescheduled their movie to its original date, i.e. 8th December 2017.
Early morning, the news came that the ‘ Firangi ’ makers are also planning to reschedule their release date, now they are looking for the 1st December slot. ‘ Monsoon Shootout ’ is also one such movie which has changed its original release date. ‘ Monsoon Shootout ’, which was also initially supposed to release on 15th December, will now release a week prior, i.e. on 8th, clashing with ‘ Fukrey Returns ’. The motive behind this mess regarding the rescheduling of movies is very clear. ‘ Padmavati ’ was the only big film in the coming 2-3 weeks. As the movie has now withdrawn, other filmmakers got the chance to have a solo release or clashing with just one film.
This rescheduling will surely help all the small films to make some box office collections. With ‘ Padmavati ’ already out of the league now, these films will get 2-3 weeks to do the business as the only big release, ‘ Tiger Zinda Hai ’ will hit the screens on 22nd December.
