John Abraham tells why it was a wise decision to postpone the release date of Parmanu!
While attending a social event, actor-producer John & co-producer explain why they mutually decide to postpone the release date!
Everyone has high hopes from John Abraham’s Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, which will be a period drama on nuclear espionage that took place in 1998! Earlier, we told you that the release date of Parmanu has been postponed to provide a long period for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati which is releasing on 1st December. Such arrangement was meant to be in favor of both films, and eventually, it did! But no one actually gave any statement as to why the maker agreed to postpone the release. Finally, when John, who was recently present on NDTV's 'Banega Swachh India' campaign along with Amitabh Bachchan on National Cleanliness Day, was asked about the reasons behind pushing his film forward, he gave a profound reply!
As John told the media, “Parmanu is one such film which is very important in modern India so it was important that we needed a proper release date for this film. And now I am not just an actor but a producer as well. I am producing this film with Kriaj Entertainment so I feel box-office collection is also an important aspect of the film business and now I think we have got a good release date.”
The co-producer of the Parmanu, Prernaa Arora from Kriaj Entertainment, also added, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ Padmavati was earlier scheduled to release on December 17 which has been preponed to December 1. It's the important film for the country as well so we wanted to showcase it in right way and we wanted to have availability of sufficient screens around us. We wanted everything to happen correctly so that's the reason we thought not to come on December 8.”
It was indeed a great decision made, since each film needs its own audience, and release date as well. About the film Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, it features the cast of Diana Penty and Boman Irani and it will be directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Zee Studio, JA Entertainment, and Kriaj Entertainment! Now the film will hit screens on 23rd February 2018.
