Kangana wants to title her next ‘Mental’, a title already registered with Salman Khan Films!

Earlier this year, Salman Khan came up with the film ‘ Tubelight ’ with director Kabir Khan . Many of us don’t know that the makers first wanted their film to name ‘Mental’ but ended up settling with ‘Tubelight’. Though the word ‘Mental’ was not taken, Salman Khan has copyrighted that title under his banner. But now it seems actress Kangana Ranaut is looking for the same title. After ‘ Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi ’, Kangana will start her next project with producer Sailesh R Singh. It is believed that the title ‘Mental’ would be the best fit for her next film but the title is already registered under Salman Khan Films. As we know that Kangana hardly shares any warm relation with any other big star in the industry, so it would be interesting to see what she does to get the title for her forthcoming film.

According to a report in a leading daily, a source from the production unit revealed, “Kangana and Shaileshji are both keen to title their film Mental. They both think that it goes wonderfully with the story. But when the producers contacted Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association [IMPPA], they realized that the copyright of the name rests with Salman Khan Films [SKF]. Salman’s team had registered the title a few years back when they were toying with the idea of naming Kabir Khan ’s then under-production film, Mental. However, they later changed it to Tubelight .” It is believed that Salman’s team asked Kangana to have a word with Bhai himself. But a source said, “At the moment, there’s no project that could use the title. Unless Bhai has something in mind, he will allow Shaileshji to go ahead with it.”
