Kapil postpones ‘Firangi’ to 1st December; to now clash with Sunny Leone’s Tera Intezaar!
After Tera Intezaar, now the makers of Firangi have postponed their film to 1st December.
After the sudden deferment in the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati, which was slated to hit screens on 1st December, many actors and filmmakers rescheduled their films. The first film which changed its release date, soon after Padmavati makers voluntarily delayed their film, was Fukrey Returns. Starring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma in lead roles, the film is a sequel to Fukrey and was slated to release on 15th December, but the makers preponed it to 8th December. Interestingly, 8th December was the original release date for the film. Following suit, the makers of the Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar also changed the release date of their film from 24th November to 1st December. The latest one to run with the pack is Kapil Sharma, who has also pushed the release date of his film Firangi from 24th November to 1st December.
It is more than clear now that everyone wants to make most of the opportunity that has come their way after Padmavati vacated the 1st December slot. Earlier, four films, Firangi, Kadvi Hawa, Julie 2 and Tera Intezaar, were set to release on 24th December. With two films postponing their release to a later date, Julie 2 and Kadvi Hawa have not much competition to face. It will be interesting to see if they get benefited from this or not.
