Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds postponed by a month!

Iranian filmmaker, Majid Majidi , stepped first time in Bollywood with his film, Beyond The Clouds , and proved why he is an Academy Award nominee. The trailer dropped last month and made all of us an instant fan of Majidi’s work. The film was initially slated to release on 23rd March but now the makers have pushed it by a month and it will now hit the worldwide screens on 20th April 2018.

In the lead, the film has Malayalam actress Malvika Mohanan and it also marks the debut of Shahid Kapoor ’s brother, Ishaan Khattar . The flick revolves around a pair of brother and sister who, in a bid to help each other, ends up in jail. Surrounded by despair, they find a new meaning of life from 'beyond the clouds'. The trailer shows more of a slum boy, who wants to make it large in the quickest time possible but ends up getting involved in unlawful and illegal acts. The cops trying to catch him and whether he manages to escape forms the crux of the story.

The film’s music is composed by legendary, A.R. Rahman and is made under the banner of Zee Studios. Majidi is an Iranian film director and for the first time helming a Hindi film. At the trailer launch, he said, “I feel it's risky for a foreign director to make a film. The point is that because of the similarities between the culture of Iran and India, I could do it." Talking about his idea to make a film whole and sole based in India, Majidi has earlier said, “I have always believed that India has so many stories to tell within its myriad cultures of people from a different milieu. The ambience of India is just magical, truly incomparable to any other country. Within that ambience, exists a wonderful relationship between human beings and nature.”
