Manjot Singh to play intense role in next

Manjot Singh, who is famous for his funny side, is going to play an intense, serious role in the upcoming film \'The Zero Line\'.

Hitherto, mostly the sardar community had been seen tickling the funny bones of viewers with their great sense of humor. Manjot Singh , who recently gave a rocking performance in comic-caper ' Fukrey ' is one of them, who had made the audience laugh with his wittiness. Manjot showcased his funny side in a brilliant way in the movies like ' Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! ', ' Student Of The Year ' and ' Fukrey '. The actor has even acted in one of the Punjabi films, titled 'Pure Punjabi'.

The latest news says that Manjot Singh will be featuring in a serious and intense role for the very first time in the upcoming film 'The Zero Line'. The 19-year old Manjot, who is pursuing first year correspondence from Delhi University, expressed that he can adapt to diverse roles, as he had done theatre earlier. The actor also verified the news saying that he will be rendering an intense, serious role in the movie 'The Zero Line'.

The film 'The Zero Line' has its roots dipped in Gagan Puri's book 'Black Night Journey To Wagah'. The movie is set at the backdrop of sensitive issue of India - Pakistan and it uses the game of cricket as a common thread between the two nations. Manjot Singh will be seen as an Indian student in the film.

The interesting part is that Paramjot Singh, the father of Manjot Singh will be playing the role of his reel father in the film 'The Zero Line'.
