The multi-talented actor Nana Patekar turned 65 on Friday and his latest Marathi release 'Natsamrat' hit the screens yesterday. 'Natsamrat' by Mahesh Manjrekar is one of the much-awaited films on this year and the role played by the veteran actor Nana Patekar can be said as one of the most challenging roles of his career.

The premiere of 'Natsamrat' took place on Thursday and the film is based on V.V. Shirwadkar aka Kusumagraj's classic Marathi play with the same title. Nana is seen portraying Ganpat Ramchandra Belwalkar in this film. He said "Watching a play is a Marathi culture, which lacks in the Hindi market. It is difficult to do a Hindi play like this because there is no certain (theatre) industry in Hindi. I want to do a remake, but I'm still not sure how to do it," He further added that "I would definitely want to remake 'Natsamrat' in Hindi. But it is difficult to translate a Marathi play into Hindi,"
