Actress Vidya Balan will be next seen in a lead role in the upcoming movie Begum Jaan, produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The film is a remake of the critically acclaimed film Rajkahini, which is a tale of a group of sex workers who try to protect their home, a brothel from the powerful. The latest update regarding the movie is that veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in a cameo role in the film.
Shah’s role though small but, is pivotal and an impactful one. The film is set in the backdrop of partition.The forthcoming film is directed by Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee. Naseeruddin Shah ’s special appearance will add a lot of value to the film, as per the sources.
