New Poster: PadMan takes the 26 January slot as 2.0 shifts to April 2018!

It was earlier announced that Akshay Kumar ’s upcoming film PadMan was slated to release on April 13! But, the new first look poster feature the lead star Akshay says a different story. Now, the film has been scheduled to release on January 26, 2018. This announcement made every Bollywood buff wonder whether PadMan will clash with Rajinikanth ’s biggie 2.0 which would not be an ideal thing to do for any film! And another question that came up was why would Akshay Kumar risk his first home production with 2.0 that also stars him as an antagonist? The speculations rested when it was revealed that 2.0 has been shifted to a later date!
As per the latest update, 2.0 has been shifted to April 2018. Sources reveal that the film has been pushed ahead to April 13 as April 14 is Tamil New Year so it would be a good time to release the big budget film. The reason for the sudden shift is its VFX work which is taking longer than expected. The post-production is on with full zeal and the work will require some time to complete. In 2.0 , Akshay Kumar plays the baddie and will be seen in an evil crow mad scientist avatar in the Sci-Fi!
Since the January slot was empty, Akshay Kumar decided to grab the long weekend slot for PadMan . This film stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in key roles. Written and directed by R Balki, the movie is based on a chapter from Twinkle’s book ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’. The film is releasing on January 26, 2018.
