Newbies Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor wrap up the first schedule of ‘Dhadak’!
Janhvi Kapoor doesn’t want her debut film to get delayed; completes the first schedule of ‘Dhadak’ in just more than a week.

Newcomers Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor are busy shooting for ‘ Dhadak ’ in Rajasthan. The film is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and it’s the official Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster, ‘Sairat’. The film’s posters were revealed by Karan Johar last month and fans went crazy after seeing the two newbies together. As the film is based on the concept of honor killing, the plot and premise of ‘ Dhadak ’ are located in in the locals of Rajasthan and the shooting of the same commenced a few days ago. Yesterday, the makers finished shooting the first schedule of the film and shared a group picture with the entire cast and crew of the film. Have a look.
Talking about the film, director Khaitan earlier told in an interview, "The basic premise is of differences in caste, honor killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations. My story is based on another setup… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts, and style of a love story."
He further added, "We are adapting Sairat into the world that we want to. The focus entirely was to present them (Janhvi and Ishaan) as the characters of the film."
Helmed by Khaitan and co-produced by Zee Studios and Karan’s Dharma Productions, the film is set to hit the cinema houses on 6th July 2018.
