Padmavati Protest: Nothing can stop the release of the film, says Deepika!
Though ‘Padmavati’ is surrounded by controversies, Deepika strongly believes nothing can stop the release of the film.

We have witnessed how obstacles and troubles have been mounting around Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s upcoming period drama, ‘ Padmavati ’. From communal groups to the members of the royal families, everybody has done everything to stop the release of the film. Despite surrounded by such mammoth controversies, actress Deepika Padukone strongly believes that nothing can stop the release of the film. In an interview to an international news channel, the 31-year-old said, “It’s amusing actually sometimes when I look at it and I actually look at this as a moment for all of us to be celebrating this woman’s life. To celebrate everything she stood for, to celebrate everything that she believed in, to celebrate Rajput culture and heritage. This is a time for us to celebrate really.” Deepika further added, “Nothing can stop the release of this film.”
Despite knowing the fact that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has agreed to do a pre-screening of ‘ Padmavati ’ for some of the members of the communal groups, yesterday over 50 activists of Rajput Karni Sena vandalized a cinema hall and a mall in Kota for screening the film’s trailer.
The movie is just two weeks away from its release on 1st December, but the controversies and the troubles around it keep on mounting. We hope Deepika’s statement proves right and nothing could stop the release of mega-budgeted, ’ Padmavati ’.
