Posto Makers Planning a Hindi Remake with Amitabh Bachchan?
Posto makers, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, are planning to remake their Bengali film into Hindi with Amitabh Bachchan headlining the cast.

After Begum Jaan, another blockbuster Bengali film is going to see its Hindi remake. According to reports, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the hit director duo of Bengali cinema, are planning to remake their critically acclaimed Bengali film Posto in Hindi. If reports are anything to go by, the makers have roped in Pink fame writer Ritesh Shah to write the Hindi script of the film. Not just that, they are also thinking of approaching the thespian of Hindi cinema, Amitabh Bachchan , to essay the role of Dinen Lahiri, which is played supremely well by Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee in the original movie.A
Posto is one of the most successful films of Bengali cinema in recent years. It received widespread acclaim upon its release in the state, and with a Hindi remake, the makers are planning to replicate the same success in the Hindi belt as well. Since the film is being written by Pink fame writer, we can expect him to write another author backed role for Mr. Amitabh Bachchan . But it will be interesting to see if Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy get success in convincing the senior actor who has a number of projects lined up. Meanwhile, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s earlier film, Belaseshe, is also being made in Hindi by Viacom 18 Studio.
