Rohit Shetty told the reason why he is not remaking Ram Lakhan!
Rohit Shetty also talked about his plans about Singham 3 and why he shelved remaking plans for 1987’s classic hit, Ram Lakhan!
Although his last film Dilwale was a commercial success but being subjected to a lot of heat from the critics and even his fans, Rohit Shetty still sticks to his conviction and continue making films as he does. As he is gearing for the release of his upcoming comedy film Golmaal Again, he was asked about the other project Rohit Shetty clarified many rumors and speculations about his upcoming films.
When asked about his much talked about 'The Could-be' project, the remake of Ram Lakhan, he replied, “Two big heroes don’t want to work together. They just want to promote each other’s films on social media. I don’t know why they are insecure. So, it’s not happening.” Although actor Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were considered for the remake and it would’ve been perfect casting as Ram Lakhan as the bromance between Ranveer and Arjun is invincible!
Then he was asked about next addition to the Singham franchise and he spoke, “It’s a very big brand. It’s given us a lot of respect. We will definitely make Singham 3. We make films for the audience. When they will want us to stop, we will stop.” It would be interesting to know who will be playing the negative role in next Singham!
As for now, Rohit Shetty will be busy in wrapping production-schedules and post production for his upcoming film Golmaal Again, which will be released in Diwali this year. The film features the cast of Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Johnny Lever and Tabu, which is a mixture of continuing cast with the new addition to the franchise!
