Ever since the trailer for Sachin Tendulkar's Biographical Documentary film, Sachin: ‘A Billion Dreams’, launched on YouTube, it’s been a rage in his fandom, and everyone is eager to watch it on the silver screen. Since the film is scheduled to release on 26th May 2017, Sachin Tendulkar began his film promotion schedule as expected. Meeting places, events, attending media interviews, meeting fan group, just like any Bollywood star would do. But then, he is Sachin Tendulkar, things have to happen in his style.
Sachin recently shared some pictures on his Twitter handle with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about his film and as no one saw it coming, even Modi ji seem excited that he quote-tweeted, “Had a very good meeting with Sachin Tendulkar. His life journey & accomplishments make every Indian proud & inspire 1.25 billion people.” Like, one can be Bollywood Biggie and have Millions of fan, but no one can include India’s Prime Minister in their PR tour, it’s just Tendulkar’s Swag.
It all happened, when Modi ji gave his example to students, who are preparing for academic exams and suggested never be afraid to make efforts to prepare yourself for the exams. To which Sachin responded with ‘Thank You’ and added suggested: “focusing makes challenges less daunting!” Well, Sachin must be thrilled to add one more eminent name to his fan list.
Not to brag about Sachin’s star-power but the movie is already been declared as tax-free in Chhattisgarh and Kerala state even before its release and mind that the decision was taken by the cabinet of each state, in compliance with government policies. Another example of Tendulkar-Swag!
About ‘Sachin: A Billion Dream’, it would be a biography on Sachin’s life, his struggles, his journey, experiences, and notions from people around him, compiled and recited by Emmy award-winning British director James Erskine, with the melodious music and background score by A. R. Rehman. The venture is produced by Shrikant Bhasi, Ravi Bhagchandka and slated to be released on 26th May 2017, so note the date on the calendar and join the fandom to scream, “Sachin, Sachin!” in the theater near you!
