Sara Ali Khan to play Irrfan Khan’s daughter in Hindi Medium sequel?
As the sequel will take a leap of 10 years, Sara Ali might be seen playing Irrfan’s grown up daughter and a college student in Hindi Medium sequel.
Last year, Irrfan Khan appeared in Hindi Medium and it turned out to be one of the best movies of 2017. The movie was a satirical take on the Indian education system and became a super hit at the box office. For the last few weeks, there have been talks that the makers are planning a sequel to it. Reportedly, the sequel will be about the college admission system but the female lead, Saba Qamar and Irrfan’s daughter from the film are not going to be a part of it. The movie will take a leap of 10 years and the latest we hear is the newbie, Sara Ali Khan, might be seen playing Irrfan’s grown up daughter and a college student in Hindi Medium sequel.
A source close to the project told a leading daily, “Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter.”
Hindi Medium was directed by Saket Chaudhary and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan. When Dinesh was contacted for the confirmation, he said, “I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now.”
Sara, who is yet to make her debut, is already getting approached for big movies. Reportedly, she has rejected a movie which was offered her by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Films.
The sequel is definitely in the making, but neither the same director will helm this time nor the movie will have the same star cast. Let’s just wait and watch what happens next.
