Bollywood veteran actress Shabana Azmi has invited people in "large numbers" to pay tribute to Delhi gang rape victim Nirbhaya. The incident took place in 2012. The masses named this tribute as Nirbhaya and it will be there on December 16 at Jantar Mantar, Delhi.
Shabana Azmi , who is also a social activist, gave this news update on Twitter by saying that she met Nirbhaya's parents and a shraddhanjali will be organized by them for Nirbhaya on December 16 in Delhi. The gang rape case also involved fatal assault and the incident happened at Munirka in South Delhi. 23-year old Nirbhaya was beaten and gang raped in a private bus. She was with her male friend. Nirbhaya lost her life at a Singapore-based hospital.
