We all know that the year 2018 will witness some of the biggest clashes that the film industry has ever seen. Initially, it was reported that Shah Rukh’s dwarf film and Ranveer’s ‘Temper’ remake were supposed to hit screens on the same date, i.e. 21st December 2018. But now, the latest we hear is that Rohit Shetty, who will be directing the ‘Temper’ remake, has postponed his film by a week, as he doesn't want to spoil the business of both the films. ‘Temper’ will now release in last week of next year, i.e. 28th December.
Speaking about the reshuffling of dates, a source informed a leading daily, “Rohit Shetty’s film has been pushed further by a week. It will now release on December 28 and not Christmas week. While earlier it was to release on December 21, now two films are coming on that day – Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled next directed by Aanand L Rai and Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Rohit has never been someone who likes his films to clash with others as he believes they cut into the box-office business. Also, he knows SRK well and the two had a word with each other about it. Both are big films in their own way, hence Rohit, who is co-producing the film with Reliance Entertainment, decided to postpone Temper by a week.”
One such big clash happened in December 2015, where Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ clashed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and Bhansali’s film emerged as a winner. The clash also affected the business of the film, so we feel this time Shetty took right decision by postponing his film.
