Director Shoojit Sircar who won hearts with his last release ' Piku ' discussed at length about his film-making journey in Bollywood in an exclusive interaction with a leading daily. Sicar made some shocking statements that would make many of us doubt for their authenticity.
The renowned director stated that he is an accidental film-maker and he was not meant for this. He was a commerce student and loved football immensely. He wanted to be a football player as he has played soccer all his life. But, he somehow was slipped into theatre and then film-making. He further added that he uses his own experiences forcefully in films. Shoojit also stated that today content holds importance and hence directors have become as important as actors of a film.
