2012 blockbuster Student of the Year (SOTY) may have a sequel. After Introducing many new faces like Varun Dhawan , Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra , Director Karan Johar disclosed that he is too serious to make a sequel to SOTY in order to launch further new talents. "I am definitely planning SOTY. Dharma plans to make it a franchise and launch fresh talent with it each time" Karan shared on Twitter. Karan has given an opportunity to the new talents before too. Directors like Karan Malhotra , Ayan Mukherjee , Tarun Mansukhani etc., debuted under Dharma Productions .
