Sui Dhaaga: Anushka & Varun’s new video is for Mahatma Gandhi & Made In India

It is a known fact that talented actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are coming together for a film. Presented by Yash Raj Films , the two will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in Sui Dhaaga . The movie was earlier planned to release on 2nd October 2018, on Gandhi Jayanti, but was later shifted to a Friday release - 28th September 2018. Today, on the occasion of Gandhiji’s birth anniversary, YRF released a video featuring Varun and Anushka with an impressive narrative.

The video is regarding their upcoming film Sui Dhaaga which is about the textile industry of India. It celebrates the Made In India initiative by the government. The video also salutes Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary today. Gandhi ji also supported made in India goods and boycotted foreign products. It is an interesting video which brings together Varun and Anushka for the stellar upcoming film. Watch it here:

The young actor is said to essay the role of a labour worker. The film that will be majorly set at a rural backdrop brings forth the theme of cottage industry and textile work. In a media statement, Varun Dhawan said, “From Gandhiji to Modiji, our country’s leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant.”

“I really liked the script Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this movie. Anushka and I are teaming up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks, he added.
