Sushant Singh Rajput rejects a biopic on wrestler ‘The Great Khali’!
It’s a NO from Sushant Singh Rajput to a biopic on Indian wrestler Dalip Singh Rana aka ‘The Great Khali’.
Making biographical films is a new trend in Bollywood these days. In the past few years, we have witnessed some great biopics, and also a few which couldn’t manage to make much sense. The latest we hear is a biopic on well-known wrestler The Great Khali. Dalip Singh Rana aka The Great Khali is an Indian born American semi-retired professional wrestler. Khali is best known for her wrestling days in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Reportedly, the makers of the movie first went to Akshay Kumar, but for no known reason, Kumar refused it outright. The makers then approached Sushant Singh Rajput, who they feel can portray the wrestler’s role. But it seems even Sushant isn’t too keen to do the movie. The actor hasn’t shown any interest in this project, and even he has his dates blocked for the next two years.
Khali is a known face all over the globe. His giant height and the mammoth body have helped him to gain immense popularity all over the world. Famously known for his height and unique moves, Khali became one of the most famous wrestling personalities of the Asian continent. His journey too is filled with ups and down. From being an officer in Punjab State Police to becoming one of the most renowned wrestlers, it would be great to see the giant’s journey on big screen.
