Taapsee shares the first still of herself from her upcoming film, ‘Soorma’!
Check out Taapsee Pannu’s look from her upcoming sports biographical film, ‘Soorma’.
These days, Taapsee Pannu is busy shooting for Shaad Ali's upcoming film ‘Soorma’. The film is a biopic on former Indian national Hockey team captain, Sandeep Singh. While Diljit Dosanjh will be portraying Sandeep’s character, Pannu will be seen as the female lead opposite Diljit. As this is Pannu’s first sports film, she feels excited about her role and shared her look from the film on Twitter, captioning, “Only if I wasn’t an actor....... #Soorma #LoveForSports #IndianJersey.” The picture shows Pannu in Indian Hockey jersey and it also reveals that her name in the movie is Harpreet, and in the sports attire, Pannu surely looks like a Hockey player.
As Taapsee and Diljit will be seen as Hockey players, they both took Hockey lessons to learn the game perfectly and to get into the skin of their characters. Earlier in an interview, Pannu had stated, "I was really looking forward to joining this film as sports is an important part of my life. Shooting at one of my most favourite places in India, Punjab.... With a few days of hockey sessions already completed and much more to come, I am looking forward to playing on my home ground".
Angad Bedi will also have a pivotal role in the film and when asked about working with Diljit in this movie, he had said, "Diljit has found the love of the audience. Three Sikhs in one film will be amazing. Waheguru!"
The shooting of the film is in full swing and it is slated to hit the screens on 29th June 2018.
