What makes the veteran actor Dharmendra to give such comment, have a look at the full story.
Dharmendra Singh Deol, famously known as Dharmendra, is a veteran star, who has worked in Bollywood for more than 5 decades. After working for more than 50 years and with 3 generation of filmmakers, the actor feels that the film industry has become a 'sabzi mandi' nowadays with money becoming everything for the actors in the current scenario. Made his debut 57 years back, the actor believes things have drastically changed in Bollywood and as well as the actors of the fraternity. Talking to a leading daily, Dharmendra said, "This industry has become a 'sabzi mandi' today where you sell, buy and bargain for vegetables. The actors today are dancing and singing for money, go anywhere where money is, get involved in oil massages (pun intended) all for money. Money has everything now, something which was not there in our time."
With more than 300 films to his credit, the actor has worked with almost all the leading ladies of his time. Apart from the leading roles, Dharmendra has also worked as supporting cast, comic roles, and even cameos. The way of entertainment was way different back in 60’s and 70’s to what it has become now. We live it to our readers to decide if they agree with the veteran’s words or not.
