The streaming rights of Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ acquired by Amazon Prime India!
Amazon Prime acquired the streaming rights of ‘2.0’ for a whopping price.

Two things are very clear these days; the South Industry ruling the Indian Cinema and the web world, which has taken the Indian market by storm. One such online streaming video platform is ‘Amazon Prime, which has acquired the streaming rights of the upcoming movie, ‘ 2.0 ’. Shankar ’s ‘ 2.0 ’ is the costliest film in Indian cinema history. Made on the budget of 450 crores, the sci-fi film stars, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar , which will hit the screens next year and the same will be available on Amazon Prime after its release. It is believed that Amazon India has paid a huge amount to buy the movie’s streaming rights. Speaking about the same, Vijay Subramaniam, Director, Content, Amazon Prime Video, said, “With this momentous deal, Amazon Prime Video further enhances its robust Bollywood and regional content library”.
Subramaniam further added, “Amazon Prime Video is happy to join hands with Lyca Productions for the exclusive streaming rights for this mega-blockbuster film. Both, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are phenomenal actors with an unbelievable fan following that will soon get the chance to stream the sequel of Rajinikanth’s memorable movie on their favorite streaming device.”
Apart from this, Amazon Prime India has also joined hands with many small screen producers for upcoming web series. Steadily making its mark, the platform is collaborating with some big names too. Amazon Prime will also come up Excel Entertainment’s production, ‘Mirzapur’ early next year.
